Lindenhurst Wedding

Lindenhurst is a village in Suffolk County, New York, on the southern shore of Long Island in the Town of Babylon. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 27,820. It is the 3rd largest village in New York State. The village was originally named Breslau.

Noted individuals from Lindenhurst include Pat Benetar, indie film icon director Hal Hartley, game show host Jack Barry, and actor Dan Lauria of The Wonder Years. Lindenhurst was featured prominently in some of Hartley's films.

There were 9,277 housing units at an average density of 955.2/km (2,471.6/mi). The racial makeup of the village was 85.23% White, 5.84% African American, 0.12% Native American, 6% Asian, 0.01% Pacific Islander, 1.69% from other races, and 1.75% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 6.52% of the population.
